Application Characteristics

 

AUSIPOL PP-30 is an Additive  for PET.

AUSIPOL PP-30 Works as Regrader and repolymerizating Agent, Through the Extrusion Process.  AUSIPOL PP-30 is an Additive wich when compounded into Polyesters Increases the Viscosity of the Polymers and Improves the mechanical Properties.

 

Addition Levels

 

The Range of the Dosages is between 0,10% and 1 %.

 

Generally, Employng virgin PET the Variations of i.v. are as follows :

 

• 0,3 % of AUSIPOL PP-30 increases the i.v. of  0,15  Points (i.e. from 0,75  to  0,90  dl/gr )
• 0,5 %     "        "             "           "           "      "   0,20       “     ( "       "   0,75  to  0,95     “   )

 

Generally, Employing recycled PET, the Variations of the i.v. are as Follows :

 

• 0,3 % of AUSIPOL PP-30 Increases the i.v  of  0,10 Points   (i.e. from 0,70  to  0,80  dl/gr )
• 0,5 %     "         "            "            "          "    "   " 0,15     "       ( "     "     0,70  to   0,85     “  )

 

The aforesaid must be considered Only Examples. Starting with PET at higher i.v., the Variations are more important.  Employed at 0,1 %, Ausipol PP-30 acts as Processing-Aid (more regular Out-Puts, i.v. uniformed, etc.). In the PET Staple Fibers Extrusion, Thank to the long Permanence Time in the Extruder, low Dosages (i.e. 0,10 - 0,15 %) Are Enough to Obtain large i.v. Improvements.

 

General Properties

• AUSIPOL PP-30 is suitable for PET not transparent (Textiles, Compounds, etc.) 
• AUSIPOL PP-30 must be employed as normal Master-Batch, Directly in the Hopper of the          Extruder, never dryed with the PET. Starting With not dryed PET, the Addittivation must be done After the Vent (degassing Unit)
• For a complete Reaction, Please Observe these Parameters : Polyesters well dryed, Temperatures (not Below 270-280 °C), Permanence Time in the Extruder (not lower than 1'), Extruders with a good intermeshing Effect.
